The 3rd edition has been released this month, but as yet there are no plans to reprint the book or to change the exam from its existing presentation. Should City and Guilds release an update we shall immediatly switch to the latest exams. With the latest brown regs book plus the amendment you are up-to-date.
The 3-day City & Guilds 2382 – 18th Edition Wiring Regulations course is intended to ensure that practicing electricians comply with the format, content and applications of The Requirements for Electrical Installations BS7671.
There are no formal entry requirements for this 18th Edition electrical course, but the qualification is primarily aimed at electricians and other allied professionals and trades needing to update and enhance their understanding of IET Wiring Regulations. It is also suitable for anyone wishing to demonstrate an understanding of the IET 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (BS7671).
The City & Guilds 2382 scheme covers topics such as protection for safety, selection and erection of equipment, and inspection and testing to meet the standards of the IET Wiring Regulations- 18th Edition in particular.
The 18th Edition Wiring Regulations course concludes with an open book multiple-choice online exam. Candidates have two hours to answer all sixty questions; the exam result is immediately available.
Successful candidates can progress to C&G 2392-10, Fundamental Inspection, Testing and Initial Verification of Electrical Installations or the Level 3 inspection and testing qualifications . You may also be interested in the C&G 2396 electrical installation design course.
The 18th Edition Wiring Regulations course is divided into 8 sections:

- Selection and Erection of Equipment.

- Use of Appendices.
Opportunities will be provided during the course to answer practice City & Guilds 2382 exam questions.
Delegates will require a copy of the latest 18th Edition Wiring Regulations BS7671:2018.
